Scanunit is your only partner. We take the complete responsibility for your projects, from planning to follow up. And the same team who carrys out the preparational work, also do the painting. Just to achieve a rational and cost efficient project as possible.

Each project is different from another and the choise of proper paint and equipment we base on our cooperation with the major ink manufacturers and our solid field experiences.

The result from conventional methods is a nice looking surface, but under neath the corrosion is continuing, and after only a few years it’s time for new maintenance.

Instead Scanunit prepares the surface with Ultra High Presure Water Blasting. This enables a 100 percent clean surface of the steel plates, and in combination with Scanunit’s experitse in choosing the proper paint and equipment for application, the canserogenous introvert corrosion practically dissapears!

The result of the finished surface is even better than when the ship was brand new - a resistant surface with a much longer life time compared to conventional methods. The result for the ship is a heavily extended life time. This is a fact based on our many projects worldwide over the years.

We have increased our shot blast cleaning capacity. We can now offer deck blasting of up to 4.000 m 2 in 24 hours.*

Example: blasting and painting of a 3.000 m2 cargo deck:
High pressure washing and degreasing - 12 hours.
Shot blasting and wet sand blasting of deck perimeters to Sa2 - 24 hours.
Painting of non-slip paint system with three coats - 24 hours.
Curing/drying time prior to loading - 12 hours.
Total time - 72 hours*

*Areas and times are dependent on substrates condition, choice of painting system, temperatures etc.
